2021. Mixed media on wood panel. A wide oil and acrylic painting depicting a skateboarder unleashing a blast of colorful energy forward. I was experimenting with open backgrounds for a while that utilized the wood grain and wood tone.

Part of my four-part hyper saturated series; I wanted to simply portray activated energy. In the midst of performing this trick, the boarder is unified in purposeful movement, activating tiny points in space to complete an action. That action leads to myriad futures, which I depicted in an overloaded blast of green and purple tones scraped across the wood. Leaving the wooden toned background allows for the figure to float in the hypothetical space.
