I'm fascinated by the line between perceived reality and chaos; that edge where things go from 'being' to 'non-being'.  So I seek to destabilize the boundaries of my subjects through elements of abstraction and orient the compositions around emotive provocations, instead of explicit calculations.  The content acts like an anchor, allowing the unseen forces that act within that content to be free and wild.  And within those abstractions I enjoy utilizing aesthetic structures to explore space, like the polygons or graffiti-type expressions.

I use a multi-media approach to apply abstraction and follow up with layers of oil paint for the representational content.  And to keep up with the physical demands of the process, I paint on thick wood panel. 

I don't want to tell anyone what I think of the work because I think that's a robbery of their chance to do it.  The interpretive game is the invaluable currency that the audience brings to the experience.  In short, whatever it means to you- that's what it means.
